    How do you get to Nacula Island?

    Tavewa Sea Bus is a small ferry that departs daily from Lautoka Port 8:30am and arrives at Oarsman’s Bay Lodge at approximately 1:30pm.  Lautoka is 30 minutes from Nadi International Airport.  The taxi fare is approximately FJD$60 depending on the location of your accommodation.

    One way transfer adult FJD$190, child FJ$95 (age 4yrs-11yrs) infant to 3 years old is FOC.  Check-in 7:30am – 8:00am.    The return trip departs 1:30pm and reaches Lautoka 6:30pm.

    Payment:  15% is payable on booking confirmation and balance is paid at Sea Bus check-in desk.

    The Yasawa Flyer is a large catamaran that departs daily from Port Denarau Marina at 8:45am and arrives at Oarsman’s Bay Lodge at approximately 1:15 pm.

    Standard seat one-way FJD$200 pp.  Captains Lounge reserved seat one-way FJD$260 pp.   Captains Lounge includes complimentary snacks, soft drinks, beer and wine, free WiFi and air-conditioned comfort.  Check-in  7:30am-8:00am.  The return trip departs 1:00pm and arrives at Port Denarau 5.30 pm.

    For bookings, we require full name, flight details and destination before and after Oarsman’s Bay Lodge.

    Island Hoppers Helicopters are based at Nadi Airport and operates from the  Denarau Area, their helipad is located at the Golf & Racquet Club.  Flight time to Nacula Island is thirty minutes.

    Adults Rate per seat: One Way FJD $905 pp.  Return FJD $1700.  Minimum number to book is two people and maximum number is six people on a flight.

    Baggage allowance is 15kg pp (excess baggage will be charged on arrival, over 15kg allowance will be charged at FJD$12 per kilo).  Hand luggage must be less than 5kg.  Payment will be collected at the Lodge upon check out.

    Upon arriving from an international or domestic flight at Nadi Airport, a Island Hoppers driver will be waiting for you with a sign and will transfer you to the helipad base.  Once checked in, wait in comfort in an air-conditioned lounge with complimentary drinks and Wi-Fi.   Island Hoppers also offer complimentary hotel transfers within Nadi and Denarau.

    How do I pay for activities and my bar tab when I check out?

    We accept credit card on the island. There are no ATM’s on the island.  There is an ATM in the arrivals lounge at Nadi Airport.

    Do you have a private island tour?

    Yes, we do! It’s a ten-minute boat ride away. Yaromo Island (Honeymoon Island) is available for private events, intimate weddings, birthday celebrations or small corporate events.  For more details and how to reserve your day trip to the island email bookings@oarsmansbaylodgefiji.com

    Explain more about the compulsory meal plan

    The meal plan includes a hot buffet breakfast, a set dish for lunch, afternoon tea and fruit and a three-course set dinner.  The meal plan is a separate charge from the room rate and is settled on the day of checkout.  A separate tab is set up for beverages and snacks which are available from the beachfront bar.  The meal plan is FJD$149.00 pp/per day.

    Do you have different rates for high season and low season?

    Yes.

    High season is from 1st May 2025 – 30th September 2025.

    Low season is 1st October 2024 – 31st April 2025, and 1st October 2025 – 31st December 2025.

    Any suggestion for hotels to book in Nadi

    Given the high demand for accommodations in Nadi and Denarau, we strongly recommend securing your pre and post-transfer lodgings well ahead of your travel dates. Your convenience is our priority. The catamaran embarks from the renowned Port Denarau, which boasts a variety of excellent hotel choices for you to consider.

    Each of these hotels offer convenient shuttle bus services or can readily arrange a taxi to ensure a seamless transition to your designated transfer point. Your comfort and peace of mind are of utmost importance to us.

    Do you cater to guests with special dietary requirements?

    Yes, we do, please notify our reservations team in advance.  Our local chefs led by Jolame, Jerry and Asenaca will personalize a menu to suit your dietary requirements and allergies such as Gluten-Free, Vegan, Lactose Intolerant and Pescatarians.

    What are the prices for activities?

    We proudly offer a range of both complimentary and paid activities to enhance your experience. We offer complimentary use of kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and snorkeling equipment.  We also offer selection of paid activities such as the Sawa-I-Lau Caves trip, Yaromo Island Day Trip, and Reef Hopping excursions.

    Upon your arrival at the Lodge, you’ll see a blackboard with the schedule of activities planned for specific days. It’s worth noting that our paid activities are WEATHER PERMITTING and require a minimum number of participants to operate.

    Do you cater for children?

    No, Oarsman’s Bay Lodge is adults only.  Our policy is 18 years and above.

    Can I scuba dive at the Lodge?

    Our neighboring resort offers an exciting array of diving trips for diving enthusiasts.     Do I need to book the Sawa-I-Lau Caves trip in advance?

    Embarking on the Sawa-i-Lau Cave Trip is an absolute must for your itinerary. This captivating experience departs from the Lodge every day at 8:30 am, with the exception of Sundays when the caves are closed to the public at the request of the landowners. You can easily arrange your booking upon your arrival at the Lodge.  This unforgettable trip is designed to have you back by 11:30 am, granting you time to enjoy lunch and get ready for your return ferry.

    Bookings, Cancellations & Payments @ Oarsman's Bay Lodge

    When can I make payment for my booking?

    • Upon confirmation: 50% of payment is collected from the total accommodation.
    • 30 days pre-arrival: 50% of the balance of the total accommodation is collected in full.

    We would like to amend/cancel our booking dates, what is the resort’s cancellation policy?

    • STANDARD POLICY: Cancellation outside 45 -30 days prior to arrival will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Within 29 days of arrival, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
    • PEAK DATES: 100% cancellation fee will apply at any time after booking on the following dates:
      18 December 2023 to 3 Jan 2024.

    Do you accept credit cards on the Island or only accept cash?

    At Oarsman’s we accept Visa, Master, and Amex cards, there is a 3% Fiji Bank Administration surcharge added for all payments made by any card.

    Do you accept cash payments?

    We only accept payments by card.

    Do I need cash on the Islands?

    You will require money if you wish to purchase, local handicraft ware and souvenirs from the locals, especially at the Sawa-i-Lau Cave location or on the Village Trip.
